I’m Micaela — mama of four, lifelong maker, and founder of Etta & Me. My love of sewing began in fifth grade with a summer dress for my sister and grew through afternoons spent stitching beside my grandmother. Years later, when I made a baby quilt for my first child, that spark returned — and I’ve been sewing ever since.
What started as a way to create for my family has grown into a space to share creativity with others. Through Etta & Me, I teach, sew, and encourage others to slow down, make with intention, and find joy in the process.
At its heart, Etta & Me is about connection — between mother and child, student and teacher, maker and material. Every stitch tells a story, and I’m grateful to share ours with you.
